The financial pressures which people are facing today are great. Many are being affected by debts, inadequate income, little or no savings. Surveys reveal that many divorces are a result of financial tension in the home.
Others may be financially sound but they do not realize that their attitudes
toward money have robbed them of their spiritual vitality
(Matthew 6:24) and eternal
prosperity. They are not spending their resources in eternally significant
ways. Even giving a percentage of income to the Lord has
declined almost every year for the last 30 years!
Thank God that the The
Bible has more than 2,300 verses dealing with money and 18 of Jesus’
38 parables were related to financial matters?
Contrast this to 500 verses on prayer and faith. The challenge before the Church today is to teach these biblical truths and
equip God’s people to handle money from God’s perspective.
